Sterling Capitol Founded

May 1st, 1991

Sir Bob founded Sterling Capitol PLC in 1991 and the award-winning property company has developed an excellent reputation as one of the most accomplished and effective companies of its kind in the north of England.

The company’s headquarters are in the centre of the thriving city of Leeds and it continues to expand across all market sectors today.

Sterling was set up to deliver a unique strategy of high-quality Capitol Park-branded business parks, which would remain in ownership and deliver long-term growth. These parks are based in Yorkshire, close to the county’s excellent motorway network.

The three key parks are Sterling Capitol Leeds, Sterling Capitol Bamsley and Sterling Capitol Goole. Overall, these parks have created more than 3,000 jobs for local people and tenants include Tesco, Carcraft, Business Link, Hermes, Merlin, Finance Yorkshire, the Guardian Media Group, Miller Homes and the NHS.

Previous Sterling Capitol-owned Capitol Parks at Thorne, near Doncaster, and Wakefield were developed and then sold.
